| Things are winding down, but there is still loads of blooms in the field, with many of the very lates still opening.
I’ve begun to till the edges of some of the beds, as the grass walkways were very wide. This will allow for more of my new cultivars to get out in the main beds to be seen and be sold.
I’ll be putting together a bunch of culitvars for naming too.

| While growing daylilies is of course the science of horticulture, there is a huge artistic component. Every day I have the opportunity to experience and enjoy some sort of art. Be it flowers, the arrangement of flowers or ceramic tiles. |

| One from my grandfather: Olallie Petite: a small August blooming golden orange daylily with a small orange eyezone. The flowers are wonderfully sculpted too. |

| Large Rose: This one has been overlooked for years, partially because I hadn’t propagated it or grown it in a good location. It’s thriving now and really is a beautiful addtion to the very late season. |

| And here’s Percival the Porcupine. Of course i have mixed feelings about this creature. But the dogs know to leave him alone, and as is the case with all of us he just wants to live his life in peace. So I let him be. |
