| Well, though there are still blooms in my very late bed, it’s mostly time to reminisce about the amazing beauty of mid summer. Looking at pictures from July is always quite remarkable, as everything looks so lush, compared to the drab, browns and grays I see now.
This is pretty much last week of shipping. Though I may have an order or two going out in early October.

| Two of my absolute favorite annuals. Verbena bonariensis, taller pale lavender-purple. These are a real butterfly magnet. The shorter in the background is Lobelia americana, which is great in bouquets and as a filler in the flowers beds as it has an airy habit. And it blooms all season. |

| 5-7-29-26:This is a new daylily I hybridized, that I’m quite excited about. It doesn’t start blooming until the beginning of September here in Vermont. Is at least 4 feet tall and has a nice clear red bloom. It may be available for naming and/or purchase in 2027. |

| I hurt me knee a couple of weeks ago,and was using a heating pad to help it heal. Guess who thought it was the perfect sleeping spot on a cool September morning? |
