| We’re winding down for the season. Mail Order is done as are walk-in sales. It was a wonderful year with lots of amazing people and flowers!
One of the great aspects of Olallie is the variety of people and adventures I get to be a part of.
One particulary memorable event was the marriage proposal that I was able to help facilitate. An individual named Crystal contacted me about naming a daylily.
She wanted to propose to her partner and thought naming a lily as part of the proposal would be wonderful way to do it. I agreed and we came up with a plan. I labelled/named the lily with “Olallie Marry Me Kamila” and Crystal brought Kamila to the farm, ostensibly to just walk around. In the wanderings they “came across” the daylily Olallie Marry Me Kamila. I was waiting up at the barn and I could hear squeals of joy. And I knew they had found the daylily!
It was wonderful and meaningful for me to be able to facilitate and be a part of such a momentous occasion. |

| Every year I have painters come to paint the lily fields. This year was no exception. It was a bit rainy which constrained the painters to working from under an umbrella. But they still had a wonderful time and productive time regardless of the rain. |

| Going on the 5th or 6th season, Wendy leads Yoga in the gardens. It’s a perfect peaceful spot. I typically keep Jack with me as he has a tendency to expect pats and head rubs. |

| It’s always encouraging to see youngsters interested in daylilies. Though I forget her name, this young lady, picked out her favorite from the field. |
| I occasionally have daylilies to give away. This family all got pieces of some of my extra hybrids. And while they look a bit sad by next year i’m sure they’ll be great performers! |

| I typically ship daylilies all across the country. Sometimes my lilies have unusual ways to get to their gardener’s gardens! |

| Jack is nothing if not The Ambassador to the gardens. He always great with people, though sometimes a bit too exuberantly. |

| Pip on the otherhand, just loves to play. And I’ve had numerous customers with young kids spend hours just happily playing with Pip. Here she is attacking the water, while Lisa washes plants for shipping. |

| I’d be nowhere if it wasn’t for my workers. Besides Lyla, Lisa, Meghan, Doug, Becca and my daughter Anwyn and her husband Jakob, it’d be impossible to be where I am today.
And a big shout out to Ferdinand my grandson. someday, maybe he’ll be digging lilies! |

| Every year I host a big private party on the 4th of July. It’s always lots of fun and full of mayhem. Here Bryant bowls down a people pyramid. I think he got a strike! |

| And of course I can’t forget Dante. One of his greatest feats is getting me to just slow down and relax. I know I’m resting for a bit when he puts his chin on my lap! |
