Cupplant (Silphium perfoliatum) is a prairie native that grows 7 feet tall with yellow daisy-like blooms. Very hardy and vigorous. Bees of all kind love the yellow daisy-like blooms. goldfinch seem to flock to the seeds in the fall. It produces slowly spreading clumps and so thrives but is not invasive.
