Field is clear, Got Catalog?, New Orleans, Ferdinand, H. dumortieri, 3 yr & 1 yr Daylily seedlings, Dante begins his patrol

The field is clear of snow and drying nicely. I’m relatively confident that we can start shipping at the end of April.

We’ll focus on Southern states and the West coast first.

I was down in New Orleans to visit my grandson and family. And so am now playing catch up.

I’ll be responding to emails and voice messages over the next few days.

And at this point everybody should have gotten a 2026 catalog. If you are still waiting or know someone that would like one let me know.

New Orleans is nothing if not a visual feast for the eyes! This was a large wall mural I saw down there.

Introducing the best hybrid I’ve ever encountered. Ferdinand. He’s only 9 weeks old but he’s already got a big presence. And I dare say he finds his grandpa (me) quite amusing.

Quality control is important here at Olallie. And Ferdinand is already on task. He concerned that this Iris may not quite be up to snuff.

Hemerocalls dumortieri is coming up nicely (as are most all of my daylilies). I realized that there are people still interested in getting some. I’ll be checking on what’s sold and then hopefully making some more available.

Certainly email me if you’re interested

3 year old (back) and 1 year old (front) daylily seedlings are popping up. This will be an exciting year to watch what new flowers appear for the first time!

Dante goes out every day now. And I think he’s started his job of scouting for mice, voles and chipmunks that might cause trouble.

They are frequently found in the headhouse.
