Daylily shoots March 20 2020

You can see in the shoots above the characteristic folded and crinkled appearance of the  shoots.

This daylily Hemerocallis fulva is growing near the house foundation and while it has experienced a bit of freeze damage, there is less probably because

the foundation moderates the temperature.

These shoots which are from the 2019 season and a bit later in the spring demonstrate no obvious signs of freeze damage.

This daylily seedling hybrid is growing in the greenhouse and also is not showing any signs of damage, probably because

the greenhouse additionally helps to moderate the temperature.
