Daylilies growing Forsythia blooming, NEW WEBSITE, About New Website, Scilla in bloom, Dante contemplates

A little sun, a little rain, and things are really starting to pop.

You can see the field is greening up nicely. and the daylilies are starting to shoot up too.

The Forsythia is just starting to bloom!

On a more significant note (well not really, what could be more significant than the daylilies growing).

We have a new website. Or at least a new platform.

It’s of course very similar to the old but with some new bells and whistles.

It is up and running fine and has been processing orders with no issues.

And at this point everybody should have gotten a 2026 catalog. If you are still waiting or know someone that would like one let me know.

When one goes to a particular daylily category. One can select for a price point with a slider. As you can see on the right.

There is an advanced search which allows you to search for certain attributes. Sold Out or Available. and also characteristics like color and bloom time.

Here I searched for Early July blooming Reds, that were Not Sold Out.

This search was done on a Ipad, so you can see it responds slightly differently but still works great.

However, the advanced filter is not perfect, in that if you search for an impossible combination of characteristics, you’ll get nothing.

For instance: 69″+ height, early July and Red. There is no such daylily, so it results in nothing.

The Scilla is now in bloom. I love the smattering of blue contrasting with the grey and green. Somehow it just says “Spring” to me!

I love Dante’s contemplative nature. This morning I went out to the greenhouse to open it up. And as I was walking up, to my barn/house, there he was just hanging out and it seemed thinking about the day to come.
